EFM's Pursuit of Global Mental Emancipation

Emancipation Fellowship Ministries (EFM) is dedicated to promoting mental health through empowering African Americans to overcome what Carter G. Woodson describes as the Miseducation of the Negro. EFM also recognizes the negative mental impact of colonialism on the mental well-being of Africans, and its devastating effects upon the African Continent. Emancipation Fellowship Ministries will foster an Education for Critical Consciousness through what Paulo Freire calls the Pedagogy of the Oppressed. It creates learning/thinking environments conducive to intellectual growth enabling people to evolve to their greatest human potential.

EFM's Pursuit of Global Liberating Community

Emancipation Fellowship Ministries (EFM) is committed to fostering a spiritual community committed to human freedom worldwide. Recognizing the importance of what John English describes in his book Spiritual Intimacy and Community, EFM seeks to promote spiritual emancipation as a means to connect its prophetic community with higher truths that can set all the captive free. By embracing the profound principles of spiritual intimacy, EFM aims to bridge the gap between the individual and the divine, nurturing a deeper sense of purpose and interconnectedness. EFM empowers individuals to break free from the constraints of spiritual oppression, leading lives of greater meaning and purpose. EFM envisions a world where every person can achieve profound spiritual freedom and fulfillment, contributing to a more harmonious and enlightened global community.

EFM's Global Pursuit of Spiritual Liberation

Emancipation Fellowship Ministries (EFM) is dedicated to fostering spiritual emancipation globally through a comprehensive approach that includes providing support, guidance, and creating safe spaces. EFM emphasizes liberation, purpose, and interconnectedness, aiming to create environments where individuals can experience spiritual freedom and fulfillment. By building a global network of spiritually like-minded individuals and communities, EFM seeks to foster a shared global mission. This collaboration with other organizations and spiritual justice movements will address global issues such as poverty, inequality, and environmental injustice from a spiritual perspective. EFM plans to organize programs and workshops to help communities align their goals with their spiritual values, emphasizing the importance of spiritual freedom and encouraging the breaking of limiting beliefs and practices.
