Our Mission
Emancipation Fellowship Ministries is prayerfully committed to leading individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds on an intentional journey toward spiritual freedom and oneness in Christ. We believe authentic freedom begins within. No people can experience lasting harmony or psychological wholeness until they first rediscover the indwelling presence and liberating peace of Christ within their own souls.
Our Vision
We envision a growing fellowship of contemplative disciples whose lives bear witness to a different way of being in the world. The divisions that wound our communities are ultimately rooted in spiritual disconnection from God and from one another. Hatred, fear, violence, and dehumanization are not merely social problems; they are symptoms of a deeper spiritual illness.
Through contemplative prayer, communal healing, sacred silence, spiritual direction, and the transforming presence of God, EFM is committed to helping church leaders and all followers of Jesus recover their spiritual inheritance. Having been reconciled to God in silence, we become ministers of reconciliation to others, building a Church where spiritual formation gives birth to human reconciliation, and where healed hearts become healing communities.
Living Out the Vision
1. 2026 Contemplative Retreats (The Foundation)
Before we can cross the racial and cultural divisions that separate us, we must first cross the inner divide between our own hearts and the indwelling presence of Christ. EFM is hosting five silent contemplative retreats through late 2026: four at the Oblate La Para Retreat Center in Sarita, TX, and one at the Ruah Retreat Center in Houston, TX. These retreats offer sacred space for prayer, fasting, worship, and holy conversation.
2. Spring 2027 West Texas Reconciling Bus Tour (The Outward Journey)
Emerging from this contemplative foundation, a 52-passenger bus will roll westward from Dallas across West Texas—visiting Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, and Abilene. Carrying a multiracial community of believers, this traveling sanctuary will partner with local congregations, college campuses, and rural families to worship, listen, and demonstrate that the reconciling love of Christ overcomes every barrier.
